Senior Manager / Director Job Description


Senior managers and Directors are required to focus intently on driving the organization forward to achieving the aims and objectives set by the company senior executives and shareholders. You will be required to lead, motivate and inspire your staff to be the best they can be in all that they do. TIP #1 – Successful senior managers and Directors have one thing in common: they are able to motivate and inspire their staff to believe in, and work towards, their vision. Be able to explain how you plan to motivate and inspire your team to work towards the strategic aims of the company.

TIP #3 – Organizational leaders have to demonstrate a unique set of skills and attributes. More notably, these include planning, organizing, taking responsibility for company results, being organizationally aware, having strategic vision, leading by example and also acting as a positive role model for the company. Within your answer to the interview questions, demonstrate your understanding of how important the role is, and how this correlates with the objectives of the organization you are being interviewed by.

TIP #4 – To be successful, you have to be a senior manager or Director who takes risks. However, the risk has to be weighed up against the possible outcomes. During the interview, there is a possibility you will be asked a question focused on your appetite for rick. Whilst you should say you are a risk taker, it is important to explain on what level you would take risks, and more importantly, the risk assessment process you would go through.
