SUGGESTED ANSWER
βThere are 7 very important skills and qualities needed in Risk Analysis in order to be effective. You must possess STRONG ANALYTICAL AND PATIENCE SKILLS. These are needed because, in order to think strategically, and meet the objectives of your employer, you must dive deep and take the time to look at trends and data over a prolonged period of time. You need to be an exceptional PLANNER AND ORGANIZER. These skills are imperative because if you fail to plan ahead and stay on top of your work, you will fall behind, you will make mistakes and you will provide incorrect reports and assessments of risk, which is unacceptable. You need to be a good PROBLEM-SOLVER. This can only be achieved by remaining calm, taking a holistic approach to problems and always remembering the importance of thinking strategically. Other skills and qualities include being able to INTERPRET DATA AND INFORMATION and then presenting it in an EASY TO UNDERSTAND MANNER to team members and senior managers or directors. Risk Analysts must communicate clearly, concisely and effectively which will in turn enable the organization to make effective decisions. Finally, you must be a STRONG TEAMWORKER and also be FINANCIALLY AND COMMERCIALLY AWARE.”
