βI am a confident, professional, and diligent person who has a strong passion for healthcare and for ensuring the NHS continually improves and develops. Over the years, I have built up lots of transferable skills and qualities that I believe are a suitable match for this NHS Team Leader position. For example, in previous healthcare roles, I always observed my team leaders and my managers closely to learn how they carried out their work and how they led their teams. I have also taken positive steps to ensure I maintain competence and that I obtain the necessary experience to carry out my duties in line with NHS working practices, policies, and procedures. If you employ me as the team leader, I will always get the most out of my team; I will manage my staff with confidence, and I will ensure everyone within my department upholds the important NHS values that everyone has worked so hard to achieve and maintain.”

The following four tips will help you get the most out of your NHS Team Leader interview preparation time. Regardless of the team leader position you are applying for within the National Health Service, be sure to study the following four tips because they will have a significant impact on your performance during your interview.
NHS TEAM LEADER INTERVIEW TIP #1
Make sure you read, learn and understand the values that are applicable to the NHS Trust you are applying to work at. This is very important because there is a strong possibility you will be asked to give an example of when you have demonstrated them within previous healthcare positions.
NHS TEAM LEADER INTERVIEW TIP #2
We strongly advise you have a solid understanding of how to deal with conflict within your team as an NHS Team Leader. The question, how would you deal with conflict between two members of staff, is commonplace during NHS leadership and managerial interviews.
NHS TEAM LEADER INTERVIEW TIP #3
Make sure you read the job description carefully for the team leader role you are applying for within the National Health Service. This is important because they may ask you to describe what you expect to be doing on a day to day basis as a team leader within your chosen healthcare field. They may also ask you to explain what experience you have relevant to the position. If you have not studied the job description, you will not be able to answer these questions.
NHS TEAM LEADER INTERVIEW TIP #4
At the end of your NHS team leader interview you will have the opportunity to ask the interview panel a number of questions of your own.Β Here are three great questions to consider asking:
QUESTION β If I am successful, and you employ me as the team leader, how could I help you within my role to help you provide a better service to your patients?
QUESTION β What are the major challenges you are currently facing within this NHS Trust healthcare organisation and how can I help you overcome them as a team leader?
QUESTION β What are your future plans for the hospital? Do you plan to maintain the current patient levels and admissions, or do you see them growing?
