Housekeeping Manager Job Brief:

The role of a Housekeeping Manager involves the ability to hire staff who can perform their duties to the right standard; keeping a check on stock levels and ordering equipment, clothing and resources as and when required; being able to create, plan and manage housekeeping staff working rosters and ensure staff turn up for their duties; being able to train staff in accordance with operational procedures laid down by your employer; working with hotel and establishment guests to meet their needs in respect of cleaning rooms and also liaising and working alongside hotel reception staff to work out timings for cleaning of rooms.

In particular, you will require the following key skills and attributes to perform the Housekeeping Manager role to the correct standard:

  • ATTENTION TO DETAIL – Able to demonstrate a keen eye for detail and ensuring standards are maintained.
  • PROFESSIONALISM – Acting in a professional manner at all times whilst undertaking housekeeping duties.
