Over the years I have gained considerable experience in treating a wide variety of patients with different conditions and problems, and I am always able to provide the right treatment plan based on their individual needs. These include, excellent time management and patient planning capabilities; the ability to build strong, professional relationships with my patients, and an ability to communicate clearly and concisely whilst putting my patients at ease and helping them to fully understand their condition. PHYSIOTHERAPIST INTERVIEW TIPS – HOW TO PASS YOUR PHYSIOTHERAPIST INTERVIEW AT THE FIRST ATTEMPT!

The following four tips will help you to get the most out of your pre-interview preparation time. Read and implement each of the following four tips carefully and they will help you to PASS your interview!

Physiotherapist Interview Tip #1

Make sure you understand the key skills and qualities required to carry out your work to the standard needed. The only way this can be achieved is to read the job description. The following seven skills and qualities are the ones that feature the most on physiotherapist job descriptions and person specifications for both the NHS and private healthcare organizations:

  • Excellent time management and work planning capabilities;
  • Being able to build rapport with patients from a variety of backgrounds and circumstances;
  • Communicate openly and concisely with a patient relative or carer;
  • Demonstrate empathy, tolerance and patience;
  • Excellent stamina and physical health and fitness
  • Strong Interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding teamworking skills.

Physiotherapist Interview Tip #2

You will need to answer a number of behavioural questions during your physiotherapist interview. Behavioral interview questions often start with: β€œTell Me About A Time When You…” The most effective way to answer interview questions of this nature is to use the STAR technique. Simply structure your response in the format of Situation, Task, Action and Result to gain the highest scores possible.

Physiotherapist Interview Tip #3

Although you will most probably already be conversant in the creation of effective treatment plans, make sure you can accurately describe the different stages you will follow when creating a treatment plan for a patient. Being able to recite a treatment plan is different to conducting one in person, so make sure you are prepared!

Physiotherapist Interview Tip #4

An interview question that is guaranteed to come up is: Why Do You Want To Work Here? Make sure you research their healthcare organization prior to attending your interview and have valid and genuine reasons why you have chosen to work there. They are, understandably, looking for a physiotherapy who will not only contribute to their already established team, but also someone who wants to stay working there for a long period of time.
