INTERVIEW TIP: Keep the actual vacancy beside you while practising. Your answers should help the interviewer picture you doing that job.

2. Give a Clear Reason for Choosing Revolut

Prepare a considered answer to “Why do you want to work for Revolut?”. Explore the products relevant to your market, the customer needs they address and the work of the team you hope to join. Choose two or three reasons you can discuss in detail.

Prepare examples of taking ownership, solving a difficult problem, using data, improving a customer experience, handling disagreement and learning from feedback. Include a mistake you can discuss openly and an occasion when you exceeded a challenging target.

Use Situation, Task, Action and Result to organise each example. Keep the background brief and spend most of the answer explaining your own actions. Make clear what you investigated, what you decided and how you worked with other people.

INTERVIEW TIP: Practise follow-up questions as well as the opening answer. You should be able to explain why you chose your approach, what alternatives you considered and how you knew it worked.

5. Prepare for the Assessments in Your Invitation

For “Tell me about yourself”, use S.E.A.T. to introduce the strengths relevant to your Revolut application:

SKILLS: select strengths that matter to the vacancy, such as analytical thinking, clear communication or dependable delivery.
EXPERIENCE: explain the work that has prepared you for those responsibilities.
ACHIEVEMENTS: give evidence of what you have improved or delivered.
TYPE OF PERSON: explain how you would work, learn and contribute to the team.

Keep the answer relevant to work. A short account of your strengths and evidence gives the interviewer a useful starting point for the conversation. Adapt the sample answer on this page to your own background and the vacancy.

For a question beginning “Tell me about a time…”, choose one event and explain it in order. Describe the situation briefly, identify your responsibility, explain the action you took and finish with the result.

Use clear statements such as “I reviewed the cases”, “I checked the cause with the team” and “I tested the change”. Explain colleagues’ contributions accurately while making your own part visible. Avoid spending so long on the background that the interviewer has to ask what you actually did.

A useful result explains the effect on the work, the customer or the team. Include what you learned when it adds something relevant to your answer.

5. Explain How You Would Tackle a New Problem

For a scenario or live problem-solving exercise, begin by clarifying the goal. Establish what success would look like and ask for the information needed to understand the issue. Separate facts from assumptions so the interviewer can follow your reasoning.

Break the problem into manageable parts, identify the most promising cause or opportunity and explain what you would test. Compare sensible options, consider constraints and describe how you would measure the effect of your chosen approach.

If new information changes your view, explain the change. A clear adjustment based on evidence demonstrates sound judgement. Follow the format and instructions for the assessment rather than forcing a memorised answer onto a different problem.

6. Quantify an Achievement Accurately

A number adds value when you explain what it measures. State the starting point, the change and the period covered. For example, a fall in repeat contacts from 40 to 30 over comparable periods is a 25% reduction. Explain what action contributed to the change and what else may have affected the result.

Only use genuine figures you can support. If your evidence is qualitative, explain what changed and who confirmed the improvement. A manager’s specific feedback or a problem that stopped recurring can provide useful evidence without an invented percentage.

7. Show Judgement When Priorities Compete

For questions about deadlines, speed or customer risk, explain how you would assess urgency and impact. Identify essential checks, agree priorities and communicate early when the plan needs to change. Make clear who needs to be involved in a decision outside your authority.

If asked about a mistake or weakness, acknowledge it directly. Explain the steps you took, the feedback you used and the progress you can demonstrate. The same care applies to sensitive examples: describe the issue clearly while protecting confidential information.

8. Finish with a Useful Conversation

Listen to what the interviewer has already explained and ask a question that adds to it. Questions about priorities, success measures and feedback show interest in how you would perform. Use the answer to deepen your understanding of the role.
